To be considered for admission to the Master of Arts in Creative Technology program, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements.

Academic Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree from any field. Applicants from non-arts backgrounds will be required to demonstrate sufficient artistic or creative aptitude through their portfolio.

Any academic transcripts and certificates issued in a language other than English must be submitted together with the original documents and an official, notarized English translation. Please do not have grades converted or interpreted in any way.

Proof of Proficiency in the English Language

Non-native English speakers must provide one of the following:

  • A minimum TOEFL iBT score of 80 for tests completed before 21 January 2026, or a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 4 for tests taken on or after 21 January 2026 (Code 4138).

  • IELTS Academic: 6.5

  • Duolingo English Test: 115

  • Cambridge English Advanced (CAE): C1 Advanced

The English proficiency requirement may be waived if the applicant has completed a bachelor’s degree at an English-medium institution.

Portfolio Submission (Mandatory)

Applicants must submit 13 to 18 original works, demonstrating artistic and creative capability suitable for graduate-level study. The portfolio should include:

  • At least 5 pieces of 3D work, which may include 3D modeling, animation, VFX, or rigging

  • At least 3 observational drawings/paintings

  • 5–10 additional artworks in any medium (2D, 3D, digital, traditional, animation, etc.) that showcase the applicant’s artistic range and skills.

Note: Portfolios should be uploaded to a cloud storage service or a personal website. Please ensure that all shared links are accessible to the public.

Personal Statement (Mandatory)

A written English statement (Recommended 2 - 3 pages) outlining the applicant’s introduction, academic/creative interests, goals, motivation, and alignment with the MA in Creative Technology program.

Resume (Mandatory)

A resume or CV (or link to an online CV/portfolio site) is mandatory, and should outline the applicant’s academic background, relevant experience, creative projects, and professional history.

Online Interview

Applicants will undergo an online interview to assess their suitability, motivation, academic readiness, and program fit. The interview will be conducted in English.
