This scholarship supports eligible graduates from Singapore institutions pursuing a production-driven, studio-based creative education in the BA in Digital Entertainment and Creative Technology (BA DECT) program.
Scholarship Value
Eligible students will receive 50% tuition fee remission for the normal duration of the program, for a maximum of eight (8) trimesters, subject to satisfactory academic and professional standing.
The scholarship:
supports standard academic progression only
does not extend beyond the normal program duration
does not automatically cover:
repeated modules
leave of absence periods
extended candidature

Singapore–Cambridge GCE A-Level qualifications (relevant subjects preferred)
Relevant Fields of Study

Design / Multimedia / Interactive Media

Academic Performance
For all Polytechnic applicants:
Minimum GPA: 3.50
Applicants with a GPA of 3.30–3.49 may be considered on a case-by-case basis
For NAFA / LASALLE applicants:
Minimum GPA: 4.25 / 5.00 (equivalent to 3.50 / 4.00)
Applicants with GPA 4.00–4.24 may be considered on a case-by-case basis
For GCE A-Level applicants:
Applicants with Singapore–Cambridge GCE A-Level qualifications who have taken the following subjects:
Art (H2 preferred; H1 considered)
Design & Technology (H1 or H2)
Other H2 creative or technical subjects (e.g., Computing, Product Design), considered on a case-by-case basis.
Applications are assessed holistically, taking into account academic performance, portfolio, personal statement, and letters of recommendation.
Strong academic results are valued alongside creative potential, technical engagement, and sustained practice.
Citizenship
Applicants must be Singapore Citizens.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit:
Letters of Recommendation
2–3 letters of recommendation from lecturers, instructors, or project supervisors familiar with the applicant’s academic or creative work
Referees should be able to comment on the applicant’s work ethic, ability to learn independently, respond to feedback, and collaborate effectively in project-based environments.
Personal Statement
A 500–750 word personal statement addressing:
Why BA DECT is the right fit for your development, with reference to specific aspects of the program, and how they align with your learning style and longer-term goals
Applicants should demonstrate a clear understanding of the program and their motivation for pursuing it.
Portfolio Submission
A portfolio of 15 original works, consisting of:
5 Digital Illustrations
5 Foundational Art works (e.g. observational drawing, anatomy, perspective)
5 Technical / Computer Graphics works (e.g. 3D, animation, technical art)
Each portfolio piece should include a 100–150 word annotation describing:
the context of the work
tools used and the applicant’s role
challenges encountered and key learnings

Application for this scholarship is now integrated into the BA DECT program application. The scholarship application page will only be displayed for Singaporean applicants.

All materials must be submitted in full by the stated deadline. Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, up to two weeks before the cohort start date.

Applications are assessed holistically. We look for applicants who:
demonstrate strong academic readiness
take creative work seriously
can collaborate effectively
are prepared for a production-driven learning environment
No single component determines the outcome. Shortlisted applicants may be invited for an interview.
Scholarship Conditions
Continuation of the scholarship is subject to maintaining satisfactory academic progress and good standing.
The scholarship may be suspended or revoked if the recipient:
is placed under Academic Warning or Academic Probation
commits academic or disciplinary misconduct
withdraws, defers, or changes the program without the Institute’s approval
fails to maintain full-time enrollment status
